The annual Encinitas Holiday Parade is coming up, Dec. 3. The parade has been a local tradition for more than 50 years and you won’t want to miss it! It draws almost 20,000 people each year and is a great event for the entire family.
Festivities will start with the tree lighting ceremony in the “Lumberyard” on Coast Highway 101 at 5 p.m. The Parade will march down Coast Highway from D Street down to J Street, starting at 5:30 p.m. For more information call 760-633-2760.
This year, the Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) float will honor Military Working Dogs and their handlers! The RCHS was created in 1960 with a mission to care for the homeless animal population of San Diego County and to spread awareness about pet over-population and responsible companion animal care.
If you would like to learn about volunteer opportunities with RCHS or if you are interested in adopting an animal, call 760-753-6413. Hope to see you at the Parade!
