Make a Difference for an Animal in 2012

With the New Year fast approaching, many of us are thinking of ways to make the coming year more meaningful, productive and perhaps more satisfying. This is a common trend as we set our New Year’s resolutions.

If one of the items on your resolution list is to become more involved with the community or to spend more time giving back, you should consider volunteering at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. The RCHS has a flexible and fun volunteer program, with several different opportunities.

From pet therapy to on-site animal companionship, there are opportunities for almost anyone who would like to make a difference in the life of a companion animal. Even if you only have a few hours a week to spare, making a difference in the life of an animal goes well beyond giving you the warm and fuzzy feeling you are seeking.

The RCHS is always seeking the help of dedicated volunteers. To learn more, visit the RHCS website today.

Together, we can make 2012 an amazing year for animals that truly need our help.

Happy Holidays!

Help Rancho Coastal Humane Society Feed a Pet

The holiday season is about giving and helping those in need. This year, the Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) is asking us to help local pets that are in need of food. The RCHS is joining the Community Resource Center (CRC) on Dec. 16, 17 and 18 to distribute holiday meals and other pet supplies to local pets whose owners are struggling to make ends meet.

Last year, the “Holiday Basket for Pets” event delivered meals to 300 local pets! The RCHS is accepting donations in the form of pet food, treats and toys. You can drop off your donations anytime between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., Wednesday through Monday, at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.

Thanks for your help!
